  1. Click + Add Credential Provider.

    • Give the Credential Provider a name and optional description.
    • Choose the appropriate credential type based on how your Server Workload authenticates requests.
  2. Aembit currently supports the following types of credentials:

    • API Key: This is a static API key stored in Aembit Cloud. It applies to HTTP applications using API-key authentication.
    • OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials: These are dynamic credentials, JSON Web Tokens (JWT), received from 3rd party OAuth 2.0 Servers. This applies to HTTP server workloads that accept JWT for authentication.
    • Username & Password: This is a static username & password stored in Aembit Cloud. It applies to various Server Workloads (databases, HTTP applications using username/password, etc.)
  3. Aembit also supports advanced authentication options for the acquisition of other dynamic credentials, including:

    • Google Workload Identity Federation
    • JSON Web Token

Configuring these Credential Providers can be more complex. Please contact Aembit Support for more information.
