Aembit currently supports the following types of credentials:
- API Key: This is a static API key stored in Aembit Cloud. It applies to HTTP applications using API-key authentication.
- OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials: These are dynamic credentials, JSON Web Tokens (JWT), received from 3rd party OAuth 2.0 Servers. This applies to HTTP server workloads that accept JWT for authentication.
- Username & Password: This is a static username & password stored in Aembit Cloud. It applies to various Server Workloads (databases, HTTP applications using username/password, etc.)
-
Aembit also supports advanced authentication options for the acquisition of other dynamic credentials, including:
- Google Workload Identity Federation
- JSON Web Token
