# MCP Server Workloads support more authentication methods

MCP Server Workloads can now use any authentication method that HTTP Server Workloads offer, such as API Key or HTTP Authentication with the Basic scheme. They can also define Static HTTP Headers. Selecting **MCP** still sets **HTTP Authentication** with the **Bearer** scheme by default, and you can change both. See [Set up the MCP Authorization Server](/user-guide/access-policies/mcp-authorization-server/setup-mcp-auth-server/).
