# Pod startup delay and security enhancements for Agent Proxy

Aembit has added the `AEMBIT_PASS_THROUGH_TRAFFIC_BEFORE_REGISTRATION` Agent Proxy environment variable to enable you to delay the Client Workload Kubernetes pod startup until registration between Agent Proxy and Agent Controller completes.
